Last Day
I wrote the following message to the 7 other co-founders of Capsule.
Hi everyone,
Today is my final day at Capsule. Since I got you all into this project, I wanted to write up something to reflect on everything we’ve built together.
—
We started off thinking we’d drop a token and decentralize immediately - instead, we jumped into a 49%/51% agreement with a Web3 company Bloq, seeking guidance and support.
We launched and kicked off NFT NYC as one of the top projects at the venue, in the middle of a bear market. We then immediately got COVID.
We deployed Dollar Store Kids, the first dollar-backed NFT in the history of cryptocurrency, and made tremendous waves on a worldwide blockchain, literally ruining people’s experiences on Ethereum for an hour+.
We wrote tremendous amounts of content about our projects, and made life-long connections in the space.
We again hit NFT NYC and cleaned house, cementing our legacy in the minds of many new and returning visitors.
We jumped on Ordinals quickly, and launched Ordinary Oranges, a sub 100k Bitcoin inscribed collection (there are over 69 million inscriptions to date).
We built a novel manner of programmable transfer on Ethereum, Optimism, and Hemi.
And I’m probably missing many multiples of awesome things. Each and every one of you helped propel our project forward.

There were fun times, there were devastating times. But we had each other, and made it through in our own ways.
It was fun. It truly was.
I’m very excited for my next chapter, and I hope you all are better off as well.
Until next time.
