Blockchain infrastructure is king.

We’re still early.

No matter how many times people have told you otherwise.

Walking into a green 2024, we declare: “blockchain infrastructure is king”.

Why Blockchain Infrastructure?

It’s simple.

Until users can seamlessly interact with blockchain technology, any investment in this space is grounded more in potential than in utility.

In fact, you could argue it’s still the case with blockchain infrastructure today. We’d agree.

So let’s back up for a moment and ask the important question. Where are the best projects?

And of course, there’s no real answer. So, we’ll respond with a different question. Where can I find happy developers?

And the answer to this is just as nuanced.

All developers face a critical decision: selecting the appropriate chain. There’s no right answer.

Factors such as bridging, transaction speed, and cost-effectiveness are important - they increase the scope of accessibility for using their “developed” product.

But, a well-developed product without users becomes… utilityless.

And so, developers end up compromising on everything and land on a simple metric. Community.

It’s simple when you think about it, but counter-intuitive from an engineering standpoint.

“Why aren’t users interacting with the best solution? I’ve clearly done my research, and everyone else is wrong.”

“I’ve built the best AMM on insert chain here and no one is using it!”

Community doesn’t care whether “development” is the best solution. A real community knows it is or isn’t, no matter how much you try to convince it.

And because of this, we’ve arrived at a conclusion. Developers do too.

The greatest communities - the fanatics - will tie themselves to a chain before a project.

If they say they’re tied to the project - they’re lying.

Look at any ordinal collection (and Bitcoin). Cryptopunks (and Ethereum). Mad Lads (and Solana).

Fans are hedging their bets on community emerging within their ecosystem. Adjacent projects success serve to grow community.

This was Binance’s approach, too. Increase overall cryptocurrency adoption to grow community.

So now, let’s back up to the questions posed above.

Where can I find the best projects?

Our answer is: where you’ll find the best chains. The blockchain infrastructure.

Because your community will be there. And community is utility.
